The face frame is a stiff plastic or plastic like material, this allows for flexibility around the head and side of the face while remains rigid at the nose and bridge to prevent anything from impacting, for worry free protection without the discomfort and harshness of older guards . The nose and forehead padding makes for a comfortable wear even during extended wear time. The large eye holes make it so you can't even see you're wearing a mask. the elastic adjustments give ample range of fitting.
This has held up well, elastic has held firm without stretching out and the mask itself still looks new. While we don't need it for its intended use we are now using it as a base for a face mask for halloween. It makes for a great foundation for a variety of face related masks or costumes. We will be getting LOTS more use out of this mask going forward
I got this for my kid who likes to make masks and I thought it would work great as a base for a leather mask. It will keep the mask out away from his face to make it more comfortable and with the adjustable straps, it will keep is securely in place. It is made of good quality materials and I expect it would also work great for it's intended purpose and provide good nose protection. It comes with pads that stick to the base to adjust for fit. The eye holes are also nice and big so they shouldn't obstruct your view.
If you've ever taken a hit to the nose and been sidelined waiting for the swelling to go down, you already understand why this exists. For everyone else: this is a protective nose guard, and it's more thoughtfully designed than you might expect.
The polycarbonate shell is lightweight but reassuringly solid. It flexes slightly rather than being rigid and brittle, which actually does a better job absorbing impact energy instead of just redirecting it. The XPE foam pads add a layer of cushioning and grip against your face, so it stays put without relying entirely on the adjustable straps to do all the work.
Fit is everything with something like this, and the brand is upfront about it: measure your cheekbone spacing before ordering. It's good advice. When it fits correctly, you forget it's there. When it doesn't, no amount of strap adjusting will save you.
The glare reduction is a small but welcome bonus, and visibility through the shield is clear. The included storage bag is a practical touch since you don't want this rattling around loose in a gym bag between uses.
It won't win any fashion points, but that's not the assignment. The assignment is protecting your nose while you get back to doing the thing you love, and this delivers on that without being bulky or overcomplicated about it.
This nose guard is slick if you wanna look like batman. Not a joke. It fits well, and is decently comfortable with the included foam pads. I imagine it'll do the job of protecting your face if that is why you want it and for the price i'd say thats a good value. The mask is high quality and will last long. And if you too want to look like batman when you are wrestling your toddlers, this will do the trick and save your face if they throw a monster truck at you (they should not throw anything other than stuffed animal or balls but sometimes they jsut get so hyped..)
